Kate Brett

Kate Brett joined Hughes Fowler Carruthers in 2009 and became a partner in April 2019.

She specialises in all aspects of family law and in particular acting for international high net worth and high profile individuals in financial and children matters.

Prior to joining Hughes Fowler Carruthers Kate trained at Anthony Gold where she gained experience in family law, civil litigation and residential and commercial property.

Since joining Hughes Fowler Carruthers in 2009 Kate has had extensive experience in a wide range of cases including a number of reported cases in the High Court and Court of Appeal. Her cases have included high value financial cases often with an international element and complex cases involving children such as relocation from the jurisdiction and cases involving substance abuse.

Kate is focused but approachable, with excellent judgement and a keen eye for detail.

Kate is a member of Resolution.

Kate’s interests include running, her young family and food and wine.
